AquaFarm is the first indoor hydroponic system developed over 25 years ago in California by Lawrence Brooke, founder of General Hydroponics. Since 1975, thousands of these systems have been sold worldwide, to the absolute satisfaction of users who have reported excellent harvests.
The plants grow in a pot filled with expanded clay. This "culture pot" hangs over a reservoir filled with nutrient solution. An air pump delivers the nutrient solution to a pumping column and distributes it through an irrigation ring. The nutrient solution then trickles through the expanded clay back into the reservoir. The nutrient solution is oxygenated, and results in healthy roots that find the food they need in it.
Often imitated but never equaled, these systems offer the best performance thanks to their reliability and their price/performance ratio.
Sufficient for 1 to 6 plants per pot depending on plant size.
